The Area



The quaint fishing village of Bogaz is now a popular tourist destination in its own right due to its unique friendly atmosphere and the natural meeting point that is the working harbour surrounded by some delightful bars and restaurants. Local amenities include a modern supermarket located just outside the village plus petrol stations and other businesses. This is also the home to the head office of Busy Bees where you will always be welcome for a chat or some local advice.    


The larger village or small town of Iskele, also known as Yeni Iskele, is located a bit further along the coast road towards Famagusta and here you will find a wider range of shops and other amenities including banks and medical facilities. For a bigger shopping or cultural experience the historic town and seaport of Famagusta (locally Gazimagusa) is about a 20 minutes drive along the scenic coastal route.
