Bogaz is located at the gateway to the Karpaz Peninsular. It is a working harbour,
and is a delightful mix of both Europeans and local Turkish Cypriots. It has many
restaurants and cozy bars, and is a delightful meeting place for all. Daily trips
out to sea are offered by local boat owners where you can chance your luck with catching
your own dinner. Ercan Airport can be reached within 40 minutes or so, and the historic
city of Famagusta is a short drive along the scenic coastal road heading west. Bogaz
offers a unique atmosphere in Cyprus, and is becoming a popular choice for both holiday
and permanent residences. Around the harbour can be found a first class selection
of restaurants and bars where one can enjoy a pleasant drink or a meal as you survey
the activities in the harbour or watch the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean
lap onto the beach. The area is blessed with a number of sandy beaches for you to
