The Region
Like most areas of North Eastern Cyprus Bogaz is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The region offers some of the finest beaches in the whole of Cyprus and indeed some judge that the golden beaches of the Karpaz Peninsular, on which Bogaz is located, are amongst the finest in the world. The clean clear waters that wash against the golden sandy beaches attract endangered species of green sea turtles that return every year to nest. The Village
The delightful fishing village of Bogaz lies by the Mediterranean Sea on the south facing end of Famagusta Bay in Northern Cyprus. The village forms part of the urban district of Iskele and is about 4 miles from the small town of that name. There is an excellent modern supermarket on the outskirts of Bogaz and the village is famous for its very pretty setting and small working fishing harbour. Around the harbour can be found a first class selection of restaurants and bars where one can enjoy a pleasant drink or a meal as you survey the activities in the harbour or watch the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean lap onto the beach.
