The Location

Long Beach, located on the eastern coast of Northern Cyprus, is famous for its golden white sands and crystal clear sparkling sea. This is an up market area in this region, with excellent prestigious luxury villas being located here. The quaint fishing village of Bogaz, with a good selection of restaurants can be found five minutes along the coast. Another local historic attraction is the site of the ancient ruins of Salamis. In the nearby town of Iskele can be found many useful facilities including two hospitals, one private and one government owned. Also there are a number of pharmacies with a rota system ensuring at least one is available at all times in case of emergency. The town has some excellent schools including a government owned school for children aged from 5 to 16 years. There are several shops and banks in the town plus other businesses such as hairdressers, garages and a vets practice.

The larger town of Famagusta is really a “tale of two cities”. There is a modern part that boasts many shops, banks, schools, medical facilities etc, in fact most requirements for modern day living. Then there is the famous “Old town”. Famagusta is a truly magical City. You can wonder amongst the old buildings of the walled town, and gaze down on the modern port from the Othello’s Tower. There are lovely little cafes and bars tucked away amongst the old buildings, all ready to serve you a cool drink once the sun gets too hot.
