The village is just 30 miles (40km) away from Famagusta City and 40 miles (50km) from the International Airport of Ercan. The picturesque fishing harbour at Bogaz is just 20km away and can be reached in less than 20 minutes. The roads are of an excellent standard with no heavy traffic at any time of the year. Surrounded by Olive groves and orchards it is in the most serene of settings, close by to the village itself is a lovely sea side promenade and a golden sandy beach and a small shelter for fishing boats.

Although it is in a rural position, close by there are two supermarkets and A petrol station, and within a 20 minute drive either way there is a choice of excellent restaurants both along the main road that by passes the village as well as at Dipkarpaz to the north and Bogaz to the south.
