The Region



Bogaz is located at the gateway to the Karpaz region and based around a delightfully quaint working harbour you cannot fail to fall in love with. There are many restaurants and cozy bars, and the harbour is a very popular meeting place for both the locals and holiday makers to meet and enjoy a traditional Turkish meze and a few cold drinks in this wonderful picturesque seaside location. The area has many sandy beaches from secluded coves to swaths of golden sand you are truly spoilt for choice.

The thriving nearby village of Iskele is  Iskele is a well serviced village having a large selection of shops, chemist, several banks, a clinic and municipal offices, with a weekly market selling local produce and household items. The up market resort of Bafra is just a short drive away and offers luxury five star hotels, casinos and a choice of water sports, with a new golf course planned for this area is expected to benefit property prices in this area.

Take a pleasant drive along the coast road to the historic city of Famagusta and visit the old town a fascinating ancient wall city where the Venetian wall with many fortifications and medieval buildings remain.
