Arapkoy has always been an agricultural village set on a high plateau affording stunning mountain and sea views. The village itself is still going along at its own slow pace with a mini-market, restaurant and coffee shop in the village centre. It is hard to believe that with such peace and quite around you that you are only a ten minute drive away from the lively areas of Catalkoy, Karakum and Ozankoy. Along the coast road leading to the centre of Kyrenia can be found many restaurants and bars, a ten pin bowling centre and many supermarkets. In this area you will find something is going on most nights. The choice of restaurants is impressive ranging from traditional Cypriot food, Indian, Chinese, Italian, as well as a selection of takeaway restaurants. A ten minute drive gets you to the excellent Shayna Beach where you can tan yourself in luxurious surroundings, and of course central Kyrenia offers much more too. Drive east towards Esentepe and you are only ten minutes from the Turtle Beach at Alagadi and a further ten minutes brings you to the impressive Korineum Golf Course. For those who wish to commute regularly to Nicosia then a 15-20 minute drive will take you into the city centre. For those wishing to live in a home which is set in a beautiful setting but also would want to be close to town then Arapkoy is an excellent choice.
