THE LOCATION

This spacious and cosy bungalow is situated in a sought after location close to the local beaches in Lapta to the west of Kyrenia. Lapta is a popular North Cyprus village with an established population of Europeans, including British nationals, who have found it a delightful place in which to settle or to own holiday homes. The village nestles at the foot of the Besparmak Mountains close to the coastal road that takes you into the busy town of Kyrenia (Girne). Many day to day requirements can be found in the village or at nearby Alsancak but the trip to Kyrenia Town is only about 8 miles and the road link is very good. Kyrenia Town is a busy commercial centre and also a very popular holiday resort with its famous harbour being the centre piece. The town has many amenities including a good selection of shops, several hotels and some excellent restaurants. There are also schools and medical facilities. East of Kyrenia the coast road continues through to Esentepe where a fabulous 18 hole golf course and leisure centre has been established. Also this is the site of a new marina under construction. To the west, the road takes you along the coast then south towards the citrus growing region of Guzelyurt where at spring time the scent from the orange and lemon blossoms is quite amazing. From Lapta there are good road links to the capital, Nicosia (Lefkosa), and the airport at Ercan. These excellent road links improve the possibilities for rental income if required and also open up the whole vista of North Cyprus with towns like Famagusta and the fabulous Karpaz Peninsula becoming easily reached.
