golden sandy beaches attract endangered species of green sea turtles that return
every year to nest, so conservation and protection of the environment is of a high
priority in this region. In addition there is an amazing diversification of wild
life and migratory birds making your time spent here a truly unique experience. It
is a peaceful and quiet place where one can bond with nature, imagine spending the
whole day on a wonderful sandy beach swimming in crystal clear waters and even camping
overnight to see the sea turtles come ashore and lay their eggs. And it is highly

Kumyali
The village is just 30 miles (40km) away from Famagusta City and 40 miles (50km)
from the International Airport of Ercan. The picturesque fishing harbour at Bogaz
is just 20km away and can be reached in less than 20 minutes. The roads are of an
excellent standard with no heavy traffic at any time of the year. Surrounded by Olive
groves and orchards it is in the most serene of settings, close by to the village
itself is a lovely sea side promenade and a golden sandy beach and a small shelter
for fishing boats.
Although it is in a rural position, close by there are two supermarkets and A petrol
station, and within a 20 minute drive either way there is a choice of excellent restaurants
both along the main road that by passes the village as well as at Dipkarpaz to the
north and Bogaz to the south.
