The Region

Small traditional villages and towns where most live off the land or the sea and mile upon mile of glorious sandy beaches reward those visiting this magical place. The Village

Kalecik is a small village located just 5 minutes drive from the famous fishing village of Bogaz which is on the East Coast of North Cyprus and is on the coastal route that links the major town of Famagusta to the Karpaz region. This traditional village is a picture of serenity. The centre has a small supermarket and an attractive village square where the local children play. Bogaz harbour is the focal point of the village where you will find a good mix of locals and ex pats here sitting sipping ice cold drinks or Turkish coffee playing Tavla and watching the world go by. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars to choose from with several others due to open this coming spring and summer.
